Jake, along with our other cycling specialist Sian, brings an in-depth understanding of what it takes to succeed on the bike, both as a standalone discipline and as part of a multisport race strategy.

Initial Consultation with Our Head Coach
Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with our head coach. This session is designed to understand your background as an athlete, discuss your goals in detail, and identify which of our coaches is the best fit for your personality and objectives. It’s also an opportunity to outline your current schedule and any constraints so we can ensure your cycling coaching plan integrates seamlessly with the rest of your training.
Analysis of Athlete History
We start with a deep dive into your past training data and race performances. This historical analysis allows us to pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. By understanding what has worked for you—and what hasn’t—we can create a forward-focused training approach tailored to your physiology, experience level, and race calendar.
Fitness Test and Setup of Training Zones
To ensure every session delivers maximum benefit, we perform initial performance testing to determine your accurate training zones. This might involve a power-based FTP test or heart rate testing depending on your available equipment. Throughout your coaching journey, these zones are regularly reassessed and updated to reflect your improving fitness and keep your progression on track.

You’ll also benefit from unlimited rider-initiated contact, meaning you can reach out with questions, updates, or concerns at any time. This ensures you always feel supported and can make real-time adjustments as needed.
