Triathlon Coach Bedfordshire
Training for a triathlon while balancing work, family, and the rest of life isn’t easy. It helps to have someone in your corner, a coach who understands what it’s like and knows how to guide you toward your goal. Whether you’re training for a local sprint or planning a full-distance event, we can help. Our coaching services are suited for athletes of all abilities and ages, from beginners to experienced competitors.
At Tri-Revolution, we provide coaching for athletes across Bedfordshire and nearby areas like Bedford, Luton, Biggleswade, and Dunstable. All our coaching is delivered online by our dedicated coaching team, but it’s personal and specific. You’ll work directly with an experienced coach who builds your plan from the ground up. Our coaching team offers a range of services tailored to individual clients, ensuring support for all abilities and goals.
Training That Fits Your Life
Every athlete we coach gets a training plan built around their life, fitness, and goals. Your coach doesn’t hand you a template. Instead, we look at where you are now, where you want to be, and what kind of time you have to train.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Training that adapts week by week, based on your progress and feedback
- Clear communication with your coach who will check in regularly and stay responsive
- Sessions for swim, bike, and run that focus on getting results without burning out
- Support when things don’t go to plan (illness, travel, injury – we’ll work around it)
- Training sessions designed to encourage and push athletes of all ability levels, with a focused approach on improving technique and building discipline
At Tri-Revolution, we use TrainingPeaks to deliver your sessions and review your data, but real coaching goes beyond numbers. Regular analysis of your performance helps keep your training focused and highlights the benefits of a disciplined approach. It’s in the regular feedback, in adapting when life changes, and in helping you keep momentum even when motivation dips.
Making the Most of Your Local Area
Bedfordshire offers some solid options for triathlon training. From loops out past Cardington to open water swims at Box End Park, open water swimming is available from April through summer, making these sessions both fun and a great way to get involved. Run sessions in Priory Country Park are also available. If you’re riding on rural roads near Sandy or running through Dunstable Downs, we’ll factor those into your plan, with cycling and cycle training forming an important part of the program.
Every location comes with its own quirks – traffic, terrain, weather – and we help you make the most of what’s nearby. You’ll also have the opportunity to join local races and racing events, with some venues offering food and refreshments for athletes.
Coaching for All Levels
You don’t have to be fast or experienced to benefit from a coach. Most of the athletes we work with are somewhere in the middle: not beginners, not pros, but serious about training well. Our supportive coaching approach helps build confidence in athletes of all age groups and abilities, ensuring everyone feels encouraged and empowered to reach their goals.
We work with people training for:
- Local sprint and standard-distance races
- Middle and full-distance Ironman events
- Duathlons, aquathlons, and time trials
- Running races as part of a longer triathlon plan
- Open water coaching and swim coaches are available for those looking to improve their swimming
We are proud of what our athletes have achieved, whether competing as individuals or as part of a team. Our coaches help create opportunities for all, supporting age group athletes and those aiming for GB Team selection.
If you’re just getting started or looking to hit a new PB, we’ll guide you with steady, realistic progress. No fluff. Just clear coaching. Feel free to discuss your goals with us and arrange a coaching session with video analysis available to help improve your swim technique.
Simple, Honest Setup
It starts with a short conversation, no pressure, no commitment. We’ll ask about your background, your goals, and what your typical week looks like. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll match you with a coach and get your plan set up. To discuss our coaching services or arrange a personalised plan, please contact our coaching team via the website.
You’ll have full access to your training calendar, regular check-ins, and the chance to adjust your plan as life changes. Whether you’re training in Bedford or beyond, you’ll always know what to do, why you’re doing it, and what comes next.

How our Triathlon Coaching works
Initial Consultation
Following your initial enquiry with us, Head Coach, Jake Hales, will contact you and arrange a phone appointment. It’s important for us to get a good understanding of your current situation, your goals, style and also your general history. Jake will then recommend the best Tri Revolution coach and package to suit your needs.
Where are you at?
Your new coach will have a second, more in depth consultation and will analyse past data and training in depth as well as conducting tests to assess your current fitness level, strengths and weaknesses. This will then form a baseline to create a plan unique to your needs to maximise your potential development.
And so it begins..
Your coach will create a personalised training plan for you, using TrainingPeaks software to set and record your sessions. After each training session, you will upload your data. Your coach will review your training, provide feedback and set your next block of training. All training is bespoke to each athlete.
Ongoing Development
Your coach will provide regular feedback and analysis based on your training results via phone, WhatsApp & TrainingPeaks, helping you continue to progress your goals and improve performance. Training will be constantly adjusted to suit your needs and maximise your performance for your current goals.

At Tri Revolution, we can help you improve not only your training, but also; nutrition, strength training, tactics, equipment, bike fit and clothing choices to name a few
Indoor training is an important tool. The majority of our clients train indoors either by choice or due to time or weather conditions for at least some of their sessions. Coach set sessions can be easily adapted to suit indoor or outdoor training.
A Triathlon coach can make a huge difference to your performance. All of the top athletes are coached, but unlike in years gone by, many lower level competitors now have a coach for the simple reason that having a coach vastly helps you improve your performance for the hours you train.
